Our 1-Year Foundation Course is for students who have perhaps already taken A-Levels or BTEC etc is the perfect stepping stone to prepare you for auditioning for drama school or performing arts college, university etc. The course is full time training 4 days per week for 33 weeks. The minimum age is 18 at the start of the course, but you can apply at 17. There is no upper age limit.

You will focus on audition and performance techniques, developing skills, practises and habits that will build the foundation needed to propel you to the next steps in the industry. Foundation students work with all our top West End tutors and have access to all the training at LCPA including singing, tutorials, acting-through-song, improv, script work, devising, rehearsing, ensemble singing, jazz, street, ballet and contemporary plus conditioning and health.

ENTRY TO THE COURSE

Entry is by audition only. Please see our Audition page for info on how to prepare for your audition and you can apply here.

Please note we are looking for potential and commitment, not the finished article - a Foundation or Gap Year course is about YOU discovering your potential and it is our job to recognise that and help you get there. Our aim is to provide you with top quality, West End level preparatory training that will propel you to the next steps for entry into the industry.

If you have questions about auditioning for us, please get in touch.

FEES & ACCOMMODATION

Students will need to make arrangements to cover the cost of tuition. The fees for the Foundation Course are just £448 per month for the duration of the course.

Students moving from outside of the area will also need to factor living costs, and we will do our best to help students who are looking for local accommodation by working with host families and connecting students who may wish to share.
