LCPA is a performing arts specialist college based at The Link near Abbey Wood in London SE2. We are the official performing arts partner for London South East Colleges (LSEC) which comprises Bromley College, Bexley College and Greenwich Community College.
We provide courses in:
The College was founded by the composer/lyricist Laurence Mark Wythe, and the Principal & Founder of Theatre Street Performing Arts, Claire Pourret, to give the young people of the community the opportunity to study performing arts at 16+ affordably and without having to travel too far as they previously would have had to.
The College was launched as TSPA College in 2014 and has quickly become a popular choice for young people from the south east. In 2015 we appointed West End star Gary Watson as Course Director and he has built an amazing team of industry professionals delivering classes of the highest quality to our growing pool of students. We are also very privileged to have as our patrons the inspirational West End and Broadway actress Scarlett Strallen and acclaimed West End & Broadway producer Hilary A. Williams.
Abbey Wood and the surrounding neighbourhoods are undergoing a continuing programme of improvement, from the opening of the new Sainsbury's just five minutes away from us, to the imminent opening of crossrail which will culminate at Abbey Wood Station just a ten minute walk from the College.
This means that LCPA can be accessible to students from all over the south east, London and Kent, and beyond. We are 15 minutes from the A2/Blackwall Tunnel, 25 minutes from the M25/Dartford Crossing and just 30 minutes from Central London by train and car, giving our students access to West End theatre on their doorstep.
With our incredible facilities and amazing team lead by one of the West End's finest performers, LCPA is a truly competitive choice for students who wish to study performing arts but wish to gain the qualifications that will keep all their options open when they reach 18.
